Jo Dee Tinkel, Director of Ovation University and Master Teacher, has been helping both children and adults reach a higher level of performing artistry for over twenty-five years. After teaching music in Tulsa area schools, "Miss Jo Dee" to her students, opened a private studio in 1993. Trained professionally in both piano and voice, she holds a B.A. in Music Business for Northeastern State University, and is accredited through O.M.T.A., and an active member of M.T.N.A. and T.A.M.T.A. Miss Jo Dee has performed with the Tulsa Oratorio Chorus, including a performance in Carnegie Hall. As an accomplished song writer as well as script writer for musical theatre, Miss Jo Dee also offers "CAMP OVATION" each summer for grades Kindergarten through High School who are enthusiastic about music and music theatre.
Lisa Isgrigg, Piano Instructor, graduated from Oral Roberts University in 1981 with a degree in Psychology and a Music minor. While at Oral Roberts, she participated in many musical groups including the Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, and ORU Singers (the television ministry singing group). After obtaining a Masters degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington, Miss Lisa sought training and certification in the Suzuki Piano Method from Master Teachers Caroline Blondet and Merna Thomas. Miss Lisa has taught piano lessons to all ages for over 20 years now. She like to combine the tried and true traditional methods of teaching with the strengths of the Suzuki Method in order to motivate and encourage ALL students of piano to play to the best of their ability. |

Laura Glatfelter, Voice and Piano Instructor, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Oral Roberts University with a Minor in Professional Education. She has performed as a soprano soloist in many oratorios, operas, and several music theatre productions. Her experience also includes teaching music and drama in various summer camp programs. We are pleased to welcome her to our staff! |
